Maurits Butter is a senior policy researcher in the field of industrial innovation strategy and policy. He worked as a consultant (Tebodin) and as policymaker at the Dutch ministry of environment. The last decade he specialized in industrial innovation policy, with special attention to shared facilities for pilot production. He was actively involved in the development of the concept of DIHs from the early beginnings and mentored various regional governments and industry/research consortia with the development of their innovation hubs.
