Digital services will change Europe’s health systems and international health research. We want to show the structural contribution of RTOs to such a transformation and provide very concrete examples. The role of RTO´s between the EU with its regulatory and stimulating measures and the industry with its commercial platform requirements will be discussed. Innovative technologies and services from the laboratories of RTO´s, which have the potential to become European standards for the benefit of patients and health care systems, will be highlighted.
