POWER ELECTRONICS TO ADDRESS MAJOR SOCIETAL CHALLENGES

Power electronics is everywhere around us, and energy efficiency is today a major societal challenge.

We need power electronics for the electrification of means of transport, to supply data centers and the growing flow of data, to manage the growing part of renewable energies injected in the grid.

In the CEA clean rooms and design centers, 1500 researchers are involved, having research on each part of the power electronics value chain.
