2018 Edition Success

The RTO Innovation Summit takes place every second year and provides a deep-dive into the world of cutting-edge technology that serves society and helps to reach Sustainable Development Goals. 

An audience of decision makers from European institutions, industry and applied research and innovation is invited to take this opportunity to set priorities for the European research and innovation ecosystem. The future of Europe depends on its ability to maintain a strong industrial base and develop innovations that make the world a better place.

 

2018 EDITION 

At The RTO Innovation Summit 2018, 'creating impact through research', representatives from ten leading European RTOs discussed with delegates from European institutions, industrialists and politicians how the future of Europe could be made stronger and more competitive by investing in applied research, development and innovation. They also presented their vision and technology roadmap for Europe through 2030.

An accompanying interactive exhibition with nearly 40 exhibits showcased selected innovations and results from applied research relevant to Horizon Europe. These exhibits demonstrated technologies that quantifiably benefit and complement society.

The summit highlighted the impact and importance of collaborative applied research to secure and expand Europe's leading position in the global marketplace.
