The Organisers

The group of ten European RTOs organising The RTO Innovation Summit represent more than 50,000 researchers across Europe that work closely with large enterprises and SMEs to develop solutions for the benefit of the European economy.

Over the years, they have been involved in thousands of projects under the European research framework programmes, and they are experts in co-creation and industrial innovation.

These RTOs have rich and diverse histories ranging from 10 to 114 years old. This instils their curiosity for the future, proves their consistent aptitude for renewal and innovation, and demonstrates their dedication to identifying and addressing the societal challenges of tomorrow.

Applied research and innovation is their business and the key to success for European industry. The many challenges like climate change, global competition, digital transformation and demographic change call for unity and pan-European solutions. Therefore, they have joined forces to show the way forward with technologies made in Europe and for Europe.
