Meet Alain Alexis

Since 2015, Alain Alexis has been in charge of one of the units of the European Commission’s DG DEFIS, responsible for the initiatives regarding defence industry. This includes notably the preparation and adoption of the European Defence Action Plan, the Defence Development Programme for 2019/2020 and the European Defence Fund for 2021/2027. The unit ensures the implementation of the programmes, together with the preparation of the work programmes and the selection of projects for 2019/2020.

Currently Mr. Alexis is also the Acting Director, Defence Industry at DG DEFIS.
