Juan Farré

Meet Dr. Juan Farré 

Juan’s passion is technology-based business development for the benefit of society. Building a robust society through technology-based businesses and ecosystems. Juan holds an M.Sc. Telecommunications from UPC Barcelona, a Ph.D. Optical Fibre Systems from DTU Denmark and a Post-Doc. in Soliton-based Submarine Systems from NEC in Japan. He has led start-ups, mergers, spin-offs, and Research Technology Organisations in the fields of Telecom, Energy, Traffic, Materials, and Environmental Sciences for over 25 years and negotiated deals in over 40 countries. He holds board positions in Danish Industry Confederation, Danish Academy of Technical Sciences as well as several businesses and University Councils. Juan joined the Danish Technological Institute as President and CEO in October 2020 and is the Chairman of the Danish RTO Association.
